Funeral services scheduled for murdered toilet
January 30th, 2009 @ 9:09am

By Adam Thomas

A toilet will be laid to rest today in Centerville.

Earlier this month, a customer at Carl’s Jr. accidentally shot and destroyed a toilet in the men’s room. Workers and visitors will hold a funeral today for the now-famous commode. On Carl’s Jr.’s Facebook page, a spokesman says, “Our thoughts go out to the surviving men’s room urinal and porcelain sink.”

The first 50 customers to attend the service will be given Kaboom brand bowl blaster toilet cleaner, which workers say was the toilet’s favorite.

“It was such a shame,” said Centerville Carl’s Jr. manager, Christian Martinez. “We have received e-mails and cards from all over the country expressing condolences for our loss.

This is not a joke peeps! This was in the NEWS!! Love it!!

Thankful Thursday

Well, of course today is the ONLY day of the year when I say what I am Thankful for. (That’s normal, right?) Just kidding…although, I really need to start being more thankful through out the year.

But like almost every other blog today, I’d like to take a minute and just share SOME of the things that I really am thankful for today.

* I am Thankful for the Gospel and our Church: I would not be any bit of the person I am today, with out the Gospel.* I am thankful for my best friend, my better half, the true love of my life…my Husband, Tyson: I was in the dark when I met him, and found the light. He has always encouraged me to be nothing less than the best I can be. I love you, Beau! (note: this is my nickname for him…not a message to another guy ha ha)
* I am thankful for Friends and Family: For family members who are friends and friends who are like family members. Through thick and thin, they’ve always been there. Near and far, new and old to our lives. For those who have given me not only second, third, and fourth chances, but a million when I’ve stumbled on the road of life. For showing me Tough love, True love, and Unconditional love. (I think you all know which category you fall into.)
(note: many of you are not pictured below…sorry!!)
(miss you mom and dad!!)

* I am thankful for CHLOE: For the joy that animals bring to our lives. She is more than a pet. In many ways, she is one of my best friends. She is always good for a laugh, a snuggle, or a good conversation. She is good at recognizing when you end your sentence in a questioning tone and will meow. It really is awesome. And who can resist those beautiful BLUE eyes!

* Thankful for JOBS!!
* Thankful for the UTES!!! (I HAD to throw that one in!)
*Thankful for a nice apartment!! (even if the parking lot could use some work.)
* Thankful for GOOD BOOKS!! (Stephenie Meyer is my hero)
* Thankful for Technology!! (I’d be lost with out internet, cell phones, and blogs! Not to mention LDSLinkup (where Tyson and I met)!)

There is so, so much more. But I will stop there and leave you with these:

Domo: Don’t Sleep

This is Domo. He is the mascot of a TV station in Japan. They run little 30 second spots between shows. Also, you may have seen him in Target’s recent ad campaign. He is awesome!

This short was our favorite, because we often have a very hard time going to bed on time. Enjoy!

Olympic Fever

Well, as many of you know, the Olympics are happening right now. I have never really gotten into watching them really, but if the tv is on, I usually will get sucked into watching what they are showing. The other day, I watched horse dancing!! I am sure that is not it’s official name, but it was awesome watching the horses prance around.

Whether you are a fan or not, if you have 7 minutes, you will seriously die laughing at this clip. It’s rhythmic gymnastics. Enjoy!

Can you wiggle your ears?

Either I fell asleep during this part of conference (don’t pretend you don’t fall asleep at some point watching it! lol) or this was during Priesthood Session. But I just laughed my head off watching this clip!

the cat who could type and the girl who talked in her sleep

After work today, I was driving to my nail appointment and was on the phone with Tyson. I guess Tyson was in the den on his computer. Suddenly, Tyson starts shouting: “CHLOE! Get off my keyboard! What the?? How did you do that?!?!” Apparently, Chloe jumped up on the keyboard, somehow typed “O87”, and then started the spell check! And no, that is not ZERO-87, thats a capital o. Our kitten is a genius! Now if only we knew what O87 means and why she wanted to spell check it…

In other news, I noticed a random cord sticking out of my car yesterday near the lever that you pull to pop the hood. I forgot to ask Tyson to look at it yesterday, so when I got home tonight, I brought it up. All I got to say is “so there is this red cord sticking out of my car…” and Tyson says “I know, you told me last night.” I did??? Tyson says that I told him “some one broke into my car, without breaking the window and cut my breaks.” I said it was a “red cord down by the “”flapper”” for the hood.” I guess I was really worried that my breaks were cut!! He even said that he asked me if I got home okay, and I said yes. LOL! Hello, I was home in bed. Of course I got home ok! I wonder what else I say in my sleep!!!!!
