The Blackout …

November 3, 2009 waterswife

My parents gave us their tickets to the Utes game for last Saturday (THANKS MOM AND DAD!!!!!). We were really excited because:
A. We love the Utes
B. It was Halloween and I knew that’d make for a fun atmosphere
and C. It was The BLACKOUT game!!!

The Blackout game is where the Utes, who normally wear their red jerseys at home, wear their BLACK jerseys. Then they encourage all the fans to wear all BLACK rather than red. They started this last year and I was lucky to be at that game also. Tyson had class last season and had to miss that game, but he was excited to go to this one!

Being that it was Halloween, we decided to go all out and use some face paint. Also, I found a wicked awesome wig at Target. It was black with red highlights … PERFECT!!!

(On our way into the stadium)

(warm ups)
(I’m weird, because I like to get to the game an hour early and watch the warm ups. Here’s a picture of us watching them.)

(there were a big group of 12ish girls who were all dressed as boy superheroes! we thought that was pretty cool!)
(us again)
(if you know the Utes, you know there is the Crazy Utah Lady . We all love her so much! And a big group of people dressed up as her. A picture of the big screen was the best I could do for this one. I captured my own video of C~U~L that I’ll have to post sometime)
(The Utes finally started to play in the 4th quarter, which made us happy!)

The stretching is my favorite part of the game… especially when the backsides are facing my general direction!
